Grinders Coffee was recently a top 20 finalist in America’s Best Coffeehouse Competition.  The competition has been developed to determine and acknowledge the three best coffeehouses regionally in North America. All coffeehouses in the U.S. and Canada, individual units as well as chains may apply to compete. The competition is broken into three regions that will compete once per year.  Grinders Coffee qualified as a top 20 competitor along with other shops in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and California.  “This is a real honor for us,” said Jared Sawyer Owner of Grinders Coffee.  “We have seen tremendous growth since we opened in 2008 and being a finalist in this competition reaffirms that we are doing a great job.”  Grinders Coffee opened in 2008 in the Sawyer’s True Value parking lot and is independently owned by the Sawyer family.  “I feel that we have a very unique business in the level of quality that we bring to a drive-through,” Sawyer said.  “I haven’t heard of any other drive-throughs pouring competition quality latte art into to-go cups, I’m very proud of our crew and their love for quality coffee.”
